GENERAL RULES & ABSTRACT SUBMISSION TERMS

  1. Abstracts will be submitted online via the congress website; abstracts for oral and poster presentations will not be accepted via email or mail independently of the system. Abstracts must be uploaded to the online abstract module by July 22, 2024.
  2. An author can submit up to two abstracts for the presentation, and in case of more papers, they can participate as a co-author without presenting.
  3. Preference must be indicated on the online system for poster or oral presentations.
  4. Abstracts will be evaluated by reviewers determined by the Scientific Committee, and acceptance will be based on this evaluation.
  5. Whether the abstracts will be accepted for oral or poster presentation will be decided by the Scientific Committee.
  6. In order for the work to be evaluated within the scope of the works to be awarded, it is necessary to indicate that "application for an award" in the online system during the application stage.
  7. The Congress Abstract Book, which will include Turkish and English summaries, will be presented to the participants and will also be published as a PDF on our congress and association website. 

 

PREPARATION AND WRITING RULES FOR ABSTRACTS
Abstracts should be prepared in Turkish and English with attention to grammar rules.

Subject of Abstract
It should be indicated to which of the main headings listed on the "Topics" page of the USK the abstract belongs. This is important both for directing reviewers and for deciding in which session the research will be presented.  USK topics 

Title
Only the first letter of the title should be capitalized. Standart abbreviations can be used, but abbreviated names of chemical compounds should not be used.

Abstract Text
Abstract text (excluding keywords) should not exceed a total of 300 words. Standart abbreviatons can be used, but if an abbreviaton for a chemical compound is to be used, the full name of the compound should be written followed by the abbreviated name in parentheses.
The abstract must include the following sections and should not contain tables and figures.

Objectives: The reason for the study should be clearly stated.
Methods: The methods and/or models used should be appropriate to achieve the objective. The species and number of subjects included in the study must be specified.
Results: Significant findings should be stated along with statistical results.
Conclusion: The conclusions reached based on the findings of the study should be stated.
If there are institutions/organizations supporting the study, they should be mentioned at the end of the conclusion section with the support code. This section is included within the 300-word limit of the abstract text.
Keywords: At least 3, maximum 5 keywords should be determined.

Evaluation of the Abstracts: 
The evaluations will be conducted online by the Scientific Committee of the Congress and designated expert reviewers, with the names, surnames, and affiliations of the researchers kept confidential.

Important Note: Abstracts will be published in a peer-reviewed journal. Since no editorial service will be provided for abstracts, utmost care should be taken to avoid writing errors. Authors are responsible for all writing errors.
